Alphonse “Chico” Daddio, 91, of Guilford passed away peacefully on March

13, 2023. Born in New Haven on December 18, 1931, he was the son of the late Giuseppe and Anna (Mazzarella Raffone) Daddio. Al was predecease­d by his wife, Lucille (Gambardell­a); infant son, Alphonse, Jr.; sister, Rose Cappelli; and brothers, Anthony Daddio, Dominic, Charles, and James Raffone.

He is survived by his daughters and grandchild­ren: Deborah Daddio (Kurt Fuchs), Cameron ( Jenny Libanio-Fuchs), Brenton, and Garrett Fuchs; Jo-Ann Daddio (Tom Larsen) and Katharine Larsen; Louise Frauendorf (Curt), Alan, Mitchell, and Connor Frauendorf, and Allison Arbuckle (Rob), Robert, Jr. and Keira Arbuckle.

Al cherished his family, daughters and grandchild­ren, and was in turn loved by them without measure. He occupied a special place in the hearts of numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and their families. He made friends of all he met throughout his life, some new and others life-long, and welcomed them as family into his heart and home.

He was the co-owner of Handbag Associates in New Haven, having previously worked at Tag-a-Long Handbags, and The Henry Richards Company for over 25 years.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Friday, March 17, 2023, at 10:30 AM in St. George Church, 33 Whitfield St. in Guilford. Visiting hours will be held in the Church from 9:30 AM until the time of Mass. Entombment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum, North Haven.
