Teresa Mary DeAngelo Marino, age 93, of Branford, CT; born January 7, 1930 in New Haven, CT, daughter of the late John and Anna Esposito DeAngelo entered into rest on May 21, 2023 after a long fought battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was predecease­d by her beloved husband of 68 years, Leo, her sisters Julia Paolillo and Rose D’Onofrio and brothers Joseph, Nicholas, Anthony, John, and Louis. Teresa is survived by her three children Gail (Russ) Petrucci, Janet (Anthony) Lanzetti and David (Lisa) Marino, eight adored grandchild­ren Kara (Dan) Barrett, Alexa (Colleen) Mulligan, Andrew (Christina) Petrucci, Jaclyn and Jessica Lanzetti, and Krista, Alyssa, and Gina Marino, greatgrand­daughter Mia Barrett, and brother Mario (Bill) DeAngelo (Virginia). She is also survived by brothersin-law Ralph and Frank Marino, and sister-in-law Betty Marino.

She was educated in New Haven schools and worked for many years for the A. C. Gilbert Manufactur­ing Company famous for American Flyer trains and the Erector Set until she welcomed her true calling in life that of dedicated wife, mother, and grandmothe­r. She treasured time spent with her children and grandchild­ren.

Her main goal in life was the happiness and welfare of her family which meant the world to her. Teresa and Leo had so many wonderful years of happiness which included vacations with her children and grandchild­ren, New York Broadway shows, dining, and theatre. Later in their marriage Alzheimer’s ravaged Teresa’s mind but not her fighting spirit. She lived a blessed and wonderful life which no amount of Alzheimer’s could ever take away.

Maresca & Sons Funeral Home, 592 Chapel Street, New Haven, CT 06511 is in charge of her arrangemen­ts. Friends and family are invited to go directly to St. Michael’s Church on Thursday at 10 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. There are no calling hours. Interment in St. Lawrence cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers, please make all contributi­ons to Alzheimer’s Associatio­n act.(Alzheimer’s.org).
