Andy Natale, age 59, was born on July 13, 1963, in Derby, CT and passed away on April 14, 2023, after a hard-fought battle with medical illness as a result of an automobile accident. He was the beloved husband of Helen (Kapusta) Natale and the devoted son of Joann (Gurrera) Natale. Andy was predecease­d by his father, Andrew Peter Natale.

Andy was known as a talented electrical engineer and home builder who could fix anything electronic. He loved hunting, fishing, boating and his loyal dog, Roxy. Andy would tell you ‘Straight up’ exactly what he thought, and his outwardly tough exterior was a cover for the caring, kind and loving man that he was.

Andy’s children were the light of his life. Surviving him are his adored sons and daughter, Andrew, Patrick and Victoria Natale, of Derby. Andy never missed his children’s football and baseball practices and games. Andy spent countless hours at Derby Little League and Derby Pop Warner and was lovingly known by all as ‘Coach Andy’ even to this day. Considered one of the ‘cheer mom’s’, Andy went on many trips to support Victoria’s cheerleadi­ng. Andy was a true supporter, always encouragin­g his children’s adventures.

During the final months of his life, tremendous comfort and care was shouldered by the love of his life, Helen, his mother, Joann and his son, Andrew.

Andy also leaves his cherished sister, Donna Natale McMahon, her husband Michael McMahon of Hamden, Connecticu­t; his sister-in-law, Patricia Kapusta Dellarocco and her husband, Gary Dellarocco of Morris, Connecticu­t, and several nieces.

A Mass of celebratio­n will take place at St. Joseph Church, 32 Jewett St., Ansonia, CT, on Friday, June 2, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., followed by a repast at 181 Main Street, Derby, CT.
