Patricia Lee Burrell

Patricia Lee Fields Burrell passed away peacefully from a fearless battle of cancer on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at the age of 76. She was born on March 17, 1947 in New Haven, Connecticut. She graduated from Wilber Cross High school and upon graduating she was employed with Southern New England Telephone Company. She also worked as an OR Technician at Saint Rapheal’s Hospital in New Haven for 34 years. She retired from St. Rapheal’s Hospital in the year of 2012.

Patricia was predeceased by her husband, Lloyd Paul Burrell; and father, Joseph Fields. She is survived by her three daughters, Ericka Fields of New Haven, CT, Jamilah ( James) DiBenedetto of Middletown, CT, and Ashley (Simeon) Brown of Brooklyn, NY; and stepdaughter, Vivienne (Neville) Williams; brother, Reginald (Euleter) Fields of West Haven, CT; sister, Elaine Fields Kearney of South Carolina; and a good number of grandchildren; one greatgrandchild; as well as nieces and nephews.

Patricia’s famous phrase was “It is what it is” and “Every day is a Gift.” She was a gift to everyone she encountered.

A celebration of her life will take place Thursday, September 28, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Beulah Heights First Pentecostal Church, 782 Orchard St., New Haven, CT 06511.
