Anthony J. Erba, 73 of Boca Raton, Florida and

East Haven, CT passed away peacefully on Monday, January 15, 2024, at his home with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband to his devoted wife, Sara Natale Erba. Anthony was born in New Haven on August 18, 1950; and was the loving and devoted son of the late Andrew F. Erba Sr. and Helen Spirito Erba. A graduate of Hamden High School. Anthony worked for Stop and Shop for 50 years, retiring as a produce manager. Anthony was a member of the Campania Club, Societa’ Santa Maria Maddalena, and the Elks Lodge. He was an avid golfer playing in many charitable golf tournament­s in the

New Haven area and bowler having played on the Civitello Plumbing and Heating bowling league in his earlier years. Anthony enjoyed the simple things in life, a good cigar, and being with his family and friends, who he loved unconditio­nally, especially his Brazo community neighbors. To know Anthony was to love him. He was always there for others and never looked for anything in return, he will truly be missed by many. He is survived by his loving stepdaught­er, Lea, and her husband, William Garlinge, his grandson, Nicholas James Garlinge who was the apple of his eye, brothers, Dr. Dominic M. (Sandra) Erba, MD and Andrew F. Erba Jr. Esq. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, loving and devoted friends. Predecease­d by his stepson, Nicholas J. Natale. The visiting hours will be Tuesday, January 23, from 4 to 7 PM at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Saint Pio of Pietrelcin­a Parish at St. Vincent de Paul Church, Taylor Avenue, East Haven on Wednesday morning, January 24 at 11:00.
