Amelia Walton Williams of Meriden, CT, beloved wife of Gary P. Gamble III, passed away on January

13, 2024. She was born on March 22, 1983 to her loving parents Judy Wright and Arthur B. Williams III.

Amy graduated from Amity Regional High School where she excelled at javelin in track and field. She continued competing at the University of Maine while earning a degree in Horticulture and Business. Her love of throwing carried on for the next 20 years at an annual Javelin Clinic.

Amy was proud of her farming heritage and her town. She grew organic vegetables that she sold at a market and at Whole Foods. Working for several area growers and agricultural suppliers continued to expand her expertise. She was a long-time member of the CT Farm Bureau and a commissioner on the Orange Conservation Commission. Many friends benefitted from Amy’s help with all things related to gardening.

Devotion to family and friends was very important. Amy was surrounded by an ever-increasing family that provided laughter, adventures, and lots of memories. Beyond the atypical holiday celebrations, there were ample opportunities of travel. Her favorite vacation was being a cowgirl in Montana with her Auntie Barb, mom and Mandy. Amy was always ready to support friends whether it involved her time, trying out new products or just getting others involved. She enjoyed spreading kindness.

Gary came into her life in 2019 and their partnership was magical. Amy found that special person who provided love, comfort and understanding. They created their own adventures, doing things their way. A COVID wedding, weekend getaways, and unique dining experiences gave them lots to talk about. Their fourlegged baby, Rosie, was a great addition.

Amy supported fund raising efforts for the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation.

She participated in half marathons in Napa Valley, Boston, and Jamestown. She and her husband, Gary, attended local events, as well. Amy also supported Closer to Free, which helps Smilow cancer patients.

She is survived by her sister, Amanda H Williams, her special niece, Ruthie, many cousins, aunts, uncles, and in-laws whom she loved very much.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday January 27, 2024 at the Orange Congregational Church (205 Meetinghouse Ln, Orange, CT 06477) at 11 a.m.

The family is being cared for by the staff at CodyWhite Funeral Home in Milford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation. To leave online condolences, please visit our website at www. codywhitefuneralservice. com
