March 19, 1932 - February 24, 2024

Hugh Cochrane, 91, of West Haven passed away peacefully on February 24, 2024 at Connecticut Hospice. Hugh was born in Scranton, PA to the late William and Sarah Cochrane. He was the beloved husband of JoAnn Pollock Cochrane. Hugh is also survived by his 2 daughters, Donna White (Mark, dec), Lori Burwell (Edwin), 2 loving grandchildren Jake and Lexie Burwell. Hugh is also survived by his brother Robert (Paula) Cochrane. Hugh is predeceased by his siblings William, Martha, and Ellen. Hugh served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He later retired from Schick and the Teamsters Local 443. After his retirement Hugh worked for Also Cornerstone and was a certified Tips Trainer. Hugh was on The Board of Directors for Seminole Point Hospital in New Hampshire. Hugh was co-founder and past president of the Milford Prevention Council. Last year, Hugh celebrated 46 years of sobriety and was an instrumental part in many others journeys. His most proud accomplishment in life was being a father and grandfather. His favorite pastime was watching his grandchildren play hockey.

Family and friends are invited to a Parlor Service in the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 830 Jones Hill Rd., West Haven Thursday at 12:00 p.m. Interment with military honors will follow in Orange Center Cemetery.
