Marie D’Antonio Cummings

Marie D’Antonio Cummings, 90, of New Haven, passed away peacefully at St. Raphael Campus on March 5, 2024. Predeceased by her husband, Donnel Cummings, Marie was born on November 3, 1933, in New Haven, CT. She was the daughter of the late Anthony and Teresa (Torello) D’Antonio of New Haven. She worked for 31 years as an Administrative Assistant at Yale University before moving to Port Saint Lucie, FL, in 1984. She moved back to New Haven in 2001, after the passing of her husband, taking residence at Bella Vista for 23 years, where she enjoyed caring for and socializing with her neighbors and friends. Family was everything to Marie, she is survived by her brother, Louis D’Antonio and his wife, Adrienne, nephews, Robert (Denise) D’Antonio of Ellington, and Daniel D’Antonio of Northford, nieces, Lisa (David) Bono of Bethel, CT, Lisa (Robert) Mielich of

Pine Plains, NY, and Amie Keeler of North Haven. She is also survived by 9 greatnieces and nephews, as well as cousins, Michael (Carol) Torrello of North Branford, Marlene Torre of Orange, Phyllis Kosar of North Branford, Dolores Ciarelli of New Haven, and Valerie (Ronald) Suhanosky of Milford. Marie’s greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. She had the most sincere, generous, kind, and loving soul, because of her religious faith. She would always go out of her way to help others. She will be greatly missed by all.

Family and friends may call at the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80), East Haven, SUNDAY, from 3:00-5:00 p.m. and are asked to go directly to the St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at Our Lady of Pompeii Church on Monday, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
