Our beloved daughter, Isabela Jane Osler was tragically taken from us, at the age of 17, on April

10, 2024. She was a cherished daughter, sister, and friend, who brought immense joy to everyone she encountered. She was born in Stamford on October 2, 2006 and spent most of her life residing in Branford. Isabela was the daughter of Darce and Keith DeCosta of Branford and David C. Osler of Norwalk. In addition to her parents, Isabela is survived by her siblings, Justin (Karalyn Scheppe) Osler, Francesca DeCosta, and Johnny Osler. She was the granddaughter of Mildred and Stanly Pastula Jr. of Old Greenwich, David D. and Sydney Osler of Stamford, Edward and Patricia DeCosta of Prospect, her late nana Patti Torino and her great-grandparents, Francis and Margaret Torino. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Bela was a vibrant and spirited young woman. She was a senior at Branford High School, where she excelled academically and was admired by her peers and teachers alike for her kindness, intelligence, creativity and cleverness beyond measure. Isabela had a passion for art, child care and writing. She was always mixing it up, dying her hair and being her most authentic self. As an assistant teacher at the

Duck Pond Learning Center, Bela treasured the staff and children she worked with. Above all, Bela was known for her infectious laughter, compassionate heart and funky charisma. She touched many lives with her warmth and empathy, always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear to those in need. Her presence and smile brightened every room she entered.
