RACCIO, FRANK “CHICKY”

Frank “Chicky” Raccio, age 96, of Hamden, passed away on July 11, 2018 at Yale New Haven Hospital. Frank was born in Hamden on July 21, 1921 a son of the late John & Marie (Richetelli) Raccio. He was predeceased by his wife Helen (Papa) Raccio and his siblings Raffael Pascale, Mary Buzzutto, Jane Maturo & Thomas Raccio. Frank is survived by his daughter Barbara Prather & her husband David of Branford; his son Frank J. Raccio & his wife Diane of Wallingford; grandchildren Lori Blanchette & her husband David of Wallingford, David Prather & his wife Denise of Northford and Frank Raccio of Wallingford and his great grandchildren Connor, Brianna & Brayden Blanchette. Frank was the owner and operator of Goodyear Plumbing along with his son since 1962 and Homestead LLC. He formerly owned along with his partner F & F Construction Company. Frank was a resident of Hamden all of his life. He was the type of man that was always there to help his family and friends whenever he could. His family would like to thank Dr. Togowa and her staff and Frank’s caregiver Erina for all the help and compassion that Frank received in his time of need.

Friends may visit with his family on Monday, July 16th, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden and may attend his Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. in St. Rita Church. Frank’s entombment will follow in St. Lawrence Garden Mausoleum in West Haven.
