Social media savvy North Haven agent has 18 years experience
When Linda Acevedo entered the real estate field almost two decades ago, the industry was very different than it is today.
At that time, consumer websites such as Zillow and Trulia did not exist. Because Acevedo planned to begin purchasing investment properties, she felt it was necessary to obtain her real estate license in order to gain access to property information via the Multiple Listing Service.
The decision to become a Realtor proved to be a life changing career move for Acevedo. Soon after acquiring her license, she realized the profession was a perfect match for her skillset and personality.
“Real estate is my passion,” Acevedo said. “After having my license for just six months, I was so busy that I quit my full time job and went full time into real estate.”
Prior to becoming a licensed agent, Acevedo had worked in the legal field for 10 years. She was employed with a private law firm for five years and then served as a legal administrator for a large group of state judges.
Once she transitioned into real estate, Acevedo rose through the ranks and now has 18 years of experience as a top producing agent. She has achieved success largely due to her strong commitment to guiding her clients through their real estate transactions.
“I take the time to educate my clients, because an educated client makes the best decisions,” she remarked.
Acevedo stressed the importance of utilizing good photography in combination with her brokerage’s arsenal of marketing tools. She feels it is critical to have a strong social media presence in today’s technological era.
Acevedo has found the real estate profession to be an extremely gratifying experience. She particularly enjoys assisting her clients in reaching their real estate related goals.
“The most rewarding part of my career is when I hand the keys over to a buyer or if I am working with the seller it’s when we get to the closing table,” she said. “I love making dreams come true, one home at a time.”
