CROWLEY, WILLIAM
William Crowley, 90, of Branford, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 in the dedicated, loving care of his daughters Patricia (Mark) Giordano and MaryJane (Ray) Ingraham, at MaryJane’s home, where he was frequented with daily visits and messages from family and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Jane (Peebles) Crowley, for whom he was main caregiver. Bill spent a short time in the Air Force, then spent over 50 years working for the Rockbestos company in New Haven and Granby. He was a proud machinist and tool maker, nothing could not be fixed! His pride was his home on Linden Ave., passed down through the generations of Janes family. He made this place a true center for all his family, no matter who, what or when all could come. Door wide open, no questions asked. Additionally, he leaves behind 5 grandchildren, Kristina (Matt) Rooney, Lisa (Kyle) Butler, Mark Giordano, Anthony (Jenna) Giordano and Rachel Ingraham, 5 great-grandchildren, Kayla, Nathan, McKenzie, Donovan and Jacob. These kids were his heart, the reason to make it to 90, he taught them well. He lives on in the lessons taught to them by his actions. Also leaves behind a nephew who he treated as a son, who himself acted as any son would, John Crowley. We would like to thank the Branford Elks, for their warm embrace of Dad, only a member for the last four years. You’d think he was a founding member by how they have treated him.
There will be a Celebration of Life at the Branford Elks Club, 158 South Montowese Street, Branford on December 28th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Connecticut Hospice, 100 Double Beach Road, Branford, CT 06405. For directions and online memorial, see www. wsclancy.com.
