MOSKI, GERTRUDE “TRUDY”

Gertrude “Trudy” Viele Moski of Branford died on November 21, 2018 at YNHH with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Robert Moski. Trudy was born in New Haven on June 9, 1937 to the late James and Mary McGarry. Before her marriage Trudy worked at SNET for several years. After being married Trudy was devoted to her family. She is the mother of Kim Accettullo and the late Gregory J. Moski. Sister of the late Mary “Sis” DelGreco, James “Bud” and John Viele. She was predecease­d by a son in law Joseph Accettullo. Once her children were grown, she returned to the working world at a local store Onofrio’s Market where she enjoyed cooking for the store and meeting wonderful people that she remained friendly with throughout her life and then went on to work at New Haven Savings Bank, which at the end of her career became First Niagara Bank. Trudy was a bank teller who enjoyed going to work every day and seeing her customers and her co-workers. Trudy enjoyed life after retirement, she enjoyed going to shows at the Goodspeed Opera House with her daughter and she enjoyed dinner, mostly the dessert after dinner, and get togethers with family and friends. Trudy was devoted to her religion and had great comfort from the daily masses on tv. She was a parishione­r of the St. Mary Church in Branford, she made sandwiches every month for the midnight run. She donated to local charities. Trudy was a football fan and rooted for the NY Giants. And she was an avid reader. Trudy is also survived by many nieces and nephews. The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff in the MICU at Yale New Haven Hospital. Especially the APRN Kerrie, and the following RN’s: Janice, Blair, Connie, Stephanie and Terrance and PCA Karina for the wonderful care they gave to Trudy and for looking out for her daughter while she sat at her bedside.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a mass of Christian Burial Tuesday morning at 11 am at St. John Bosco Parish - St Mary Church 731 Main St. Branford, CT. Burial will follow in all Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributi­ons may be made to the office of Radio and Television www. ortv.org.
