CEGELKA III, STEPHEN J.

Stephen J. Cegelka III, age 58, entered into eternal rest on November 30, 2018, at Shady Knoll Health Center in Seymour, following a long illness. Steve was born in Derby on October 27, 1960, son of the late Stephen J. Cegelka Jr. and Elizabeth Fama Cegelka. A lifelong resident of the Ansonia community, he was employed at the former Adams Supermarket in Watertown and later as a custodian for the Ansonia Board of Education, until his illness twelve years ago. Steve was a former Youth Basketball coach in Ansonia and played in many softball leagues. He enjoyed rock & roll music, playing golf and was an avid NY Giants and NY Mets fan. He was a member of the Holy Rosary Church Catholic Men’s Club. He leaves to cherish his memory, loving daughters, Katelyn J. McQuillan (DJ) of Seymour, Jodi Beth Cegelka of Middletown and Jessica L. Cegelka of Ansonia, loving and devoted sister, Laura J. Cegelka, a brother, Kevin J. Cegelka and former wife, Marilyn Cegelka all of Ansonia. Visiting hours will be held on Monday December 3, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Tuesday, his funeral will begin at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia. Interment will follow in Mt.
