Afourth generation Realtor, real estate has always been part of Marc Seigel’s life. “I knew in high school I wanted to join the family business. After I graduated, I got my license, then went to college and majored in finance because I felt it would be useful in the profession,” he said. “During the summers, I worked in the family firm to gain the experience I would need after graduation.”
Thirty one years later, he continues to keep it in the family, as he is partners in the business with his sister, Lauren Seigel-Gross.
One of Seigel’s distinguishing characteristics is his commitment to his business attire, which gives him the proper mindset to tackle the day.
“I normally wear a suit to work, even in 90-degree summer heat,” he said. “I feel that you need to dress like the professional you’d like to be.”
Seigel enjoys making people laugh but when it comes to his clients, he is very serious about the real estate process.
“I don’t necessarily ‘like’ all the houses that my clients do,” he said. “If they fall in love with a home that may have shortcomings, I make it a point to interject my opinion. They need to know that while they may like it, a future buyer may not. They appreciate the fact that I’m not just in it for the sale. I really want them to make an informed decision.”
When it comes to marketing, Seigel stresses “It’s all in the details.” He makes it his priority to see that his listings are priced and positioned competitively. He
