Bailey helps New Haven down St. Thomas Aquinas

Elijah Bailey led all scorers with 25 points for the University of New Haven men’s basketball team, which defeated St. Thomas Aquinas 76-59 in non-conference action at West Haven.

Kessly Felizor added 13 points for the Chargers. Demetre Roberts and Kameron Murrell both scored 12 points for Aquinas.

Rider 72, Quinnipiac 67: Frederick Scott finished with 13 points and 10 rebounds for Rider in a MAAC win at Lawrencevi­lle, New Jersey.

Anthony Durham added 11 points for Rider (7-7, 2-0). Cameron Young had a game-high 24 points, along with nine rebounds, for the Bobcats (6-7, 1-1).

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

Albertus Magnus 79, Mitchell 58: Jill Johnson led all scorers with 23 points for Albertus Magnus in a non-conference win at New London.

Shyla Osmond added 17 points and eight rebounds for the Falcons (12-1), who won their fifth straight game. Kelsey Hernandez led Mitchell (5-5) with 14 points.

St. Thomas Aquinas 67, Southern Conn. 59: Julia Winnik led the way with 16 points for St. Thomas Aquinas (12-2) in a non-conference win at Sparkill, New York. Alle Smith led the Owls (9-5) with a careerhigh 19 points while Kiana Steinauer grabbed 20 rebounds.

WOMEN’S HOCKEY

Quinnipiac 1, Harvard 0: Melissa Samoskevic­h scored in the third period for the game’s only gosl in Quinnipiac’s ECAC victory at Cambridge, Massachuse­tts.

Kenzie Lancaster and Randi Marcon assisted on the goal for the Bobcats (7-11-3, 6-5-1). Abbie Ives saved all 28 shots she faced. Lindsay Reeed madee 32 saves for the Crimson (48-2, 3-5-1).
