Mike Henetz has been helping families sell and purchase homes in Stratford and the surrounding communities for the past 33 years. He had always been interested in architecture and construction and enjoys working with people as he experienced while working as a teacher. So once he decided to get his real estate license, he never looked back.
Henetz believes his background laid a strong foundation for his success.
“My background as a former educator and coach gave me good experience and skills in communicating with others,” he said. “It is important to listen to your clients’ needs and spend as much time as necessary to meet those needs with hard work, feedback and communication for a successful transaction and happy client.”
Henetz holds a deep passion and enjoyment for his chosen field and believes his experience and knowledge in listing, selling and negotiating helps relieve some of the stress associated with real estate transactions.
“I attempt to treat clients as I would want to be treated and offer them all the support I can give as well as the strength and backing of the William Raveis brand,” he states. Listening to clients, strong negotiating skills and following through on all aspects of the transaction are qualities that Henetz brings to the table.
To him, the most rewarding part of his career is seeing the happiness buyers exhibit when they have found the perfect home and when sellers have achieved their highest and best price.

He also points out that Raveis offers mortgages and insurance as a resource to their clients. “It rounds out all the necessary steps in the buying and selling process,” he adds.
A lifelong resident of Stratford, Henetz specializes in residential sales in Stratford and all surrounding towns and through Raveis is also able to offer a worldwide referral service. He enjoys traveling with his family and volunteers for the Stratford/ Bunnell Unified Sports Team.
