East Shoreline Catholic Academy
East Shoreline Catholic Academy (ESCA) is the successor school of St. Mary School in Branford and Our Lady of Mercy School in Madison. Dedicated to the vision of providing high quality Catholic education to families and students on the east shoreline of Connecticut, this collaboration resulted in a single campus located at the site of the former St. Mary School: 62 Cedar Street, Branford, CT 06405. St. George Church, Guilford, Saint Margaret Church, Madison, and Saint John Bosco Parish of Branford continue to support ESCA as they did with our heritage schools.
At East Shoreline Catholic Academy (serving Pre-K3 to Grade 8 students) we look forward to providing your child(ren) with an innovative, forward-thinking, faith-filled experience of academic excellence. Your child will learn in a loving and supportive school environment where each student’s special gifts are celebrated and encouraged to reach their full potential.
We are accredited by the New England Association of Schools & Colleges, and employ a progressive STREAM educational model endorsed by the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA), which connects every content area and richly augments all learning experiences by incorporating technology and engineering into a traditional curriculum. The STREAM curriculum includes Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, the Arts (Fine Arts, Language Arts), and Mathematics. Interdisciplinary instruction and project-based applications of learned concepts will help children acquire leadership skills while preparing them for success in those careers most in demand in the 21st century. Our teachers employ a “growth mindset” in their classrooms, and each student’s special gifts are celebrated, and are encouraged to reach their full potential. All faiths are welcome!
Mock trial, chess, sports, and theater are only a few examples of our extra curricular activities in addition to before and after care (7 a.m. to 6 p.m), all day Pre-K, special education services, and regional busing. To learn more visit our website: EastShorelineCatholicAcademy.org.
