Belinda E. Barnes-Castro, 65, of East Haven, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2019. She was born in New Haven, CT to the late Earl and Ethel Mason Barnes, Sr. on September 23, 1953. She worked as a data entry clerk with the City of New Haven, a postal clerk with the US Postal Service, a property manager at Union Plaza Apartments and also worked at JBT Instruments. Belinda leaves to cherish her memory, husband, Barry Willis; daughter, Doreen Hobson; grandchildren, Rashika Blue, Ariel Blue and Geno Bryant, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Meh’kii Smith and Dorian Smith, Jr.; brother, Earl (Marie) Barnes; sisters, Denise (James) Boyd and Paula Barnes; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends. She was predeceased by her sister, Leslie Blatche.

A memorial service will take place Monday, January 14, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Martin de Porres Church, 136 Dixwell Ave, New Haven, CT 06511. Services by Howard K.
