Regina L. Piccirrill­i Mascianton­io, 99, of Guilford, died Jan. 11, 2019, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late William Mascianton­io Sr. Regina was born in Bethlehem, PA., the daughter of the late Frederick and Anna Castellucc­i Piccirrill­i and resided in Hamden most of her life. She was a graduate of The Stamford School of Nursing and was a RN at Yale-New Haven Hospital, operating room nurse, for over 10 years. She then took time off to be the best mother ever, returning to nursing in her later years, where she was a supervisor at Whitney Manor, until her retirement, when she moved to Guilford. She is survived by her devoted children, MaryAnn Mascianton­io of Hamden, Lorraine (Joseph) Paolella, Regina A. Mascianton­io and Louise (Robert) Panicali, all of Guilford, Fred (Christine) Mascianton­io and William (Sheri) Mascianton­io, both of Hamden, and the late Joseph Mascianton­io, a sister, Josephine Durso of Hamden, and grandchild­ren, Joseph Paolella, Tina & Ian Perry, Lauren & Elias Maldonado, Lisa Mascianton­io, Matthew, Jordyn, and Andrew Panicali and Deanna & Marc Mascianton­io, and 5 greatgrand­children. She was pre-deceased by a sister, Antoinette Piccirrill­i. Friends are invited to go directly to St. George’s Church, Guilford, Tuesday at 11 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial, followed by interment in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden.
