Gail Marcia Bernstein Mayer, age 72, of Orange, CT, beloved wife of 30 years to Al Mayer, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on January 12, 2019 after a long and courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She was born in Washington D.C. to Nathan and Mary Bernstein on April 21, 1946. She attended American Internatio­nal College and obtained a Masters Degree in Social Work from Fordham University.

Gail and Al founded ElderCare Services in 2003 and have been servant leaders by assisting people. It was her mission and purpose in life to help people. She was very philanthro­pic and enjoyed giving to organizati­ons that contribute­d to the betterment of humanity. Gail is preceded in death by her parents, Nathan and Mary Bernstein and her nephew, Todd Lubin. Gail is survived by her loving husband Al, daughter Stacey Lee (Frank), son Matt Margulies, sister Linda Lubin (Charlie), her grandsons and lights of her life Jackson, Carson and Hudson Lee, niece Jennifer Lubin, and great niece Ryleigh Lubin.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 o’clock on Tuesday morning, January 15, at Congregati­on Or Shalom, 205 Old Grassy Hill Rd, Orange,with Interment services to follow at Orange Center Cemetery. Shiva will be observed at the Mayer home from 6:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 15th andWednesd­ay, January 16th. All those who loved her are welcome.
