PINSKI, JAMES

James “Jim” Pinski, of Branford, died Monday, January 7, 2019 at Yale-New Haven Hospital after a brief illness. Jim was born June 9, 1958 in New Haven, son of the late Joseph and Eleanor Pinski. He is survived by many friends. Jim was a lifelong Branford resident and longtime member of the Branford Basketball community. He was a graduate of St. Mary’s and Branford High School. The Pin, as he was known to many, held a variety of jobs within the construction industry. Jim had recently retired from a long and varied career of which he enjoyed relaying many of his colorful stories to others. He enjoyed helping his many friends and would drop everything to help a friend in an emergency. Jim “the Pin” will be greatly missed by the Branford Community.

Friends are invited to a memorial visitation, Friday, January 25, 2019 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford. Graveside service to follow at All Saints Cemetery, North Haven. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Branford Community Dining Room, 30 Harrison Ave., Branford, CT 06405.
