TICHY, JR., EDWIN J.

Edwin J. Tichy, Jr. died on Saturday, January 12, 2019 after a long struggle with Parkinson’s Disease. He was the husband of Cynthia Tichy for 38 years. He is survived by his sisters, Diane Lankarge and Susan Todd-Scott and his brother, Robert Tichy (Barbara). Also surviving him are his children: Allison Branco Tichy (Carlos) and their two children Lucas and Danielle, Douglas Tichy (Eileen) and their two children Ryan and Brenna, Heather Migliore (Nick) and their three daughters, Tori, Taylor and Sloane, and Erin Hughes (Gary) and their son Spencer. He is also survived by his loyal friend, Dave Blinn.

Edwin was born in Guilford, July 25, 1940 and graduated from Guilford High School. He loved family get-togethers, playing golf, watching the Giants and UConn, and following Heather’s softball. He enjoyed gardening, traveling and hunting with family and friends. He will be missed by many people.

There will be no calling hours and burial will be private. A Remembrance Celebration will be held at the Dudley Farm Barn at 2351 Durham Road in Guilford on Saturday, January 26 from 2 – 5 p.m. (snow date: January 27). Beginning at 2:30, friends and family will be invited to come up to share a special memory or story. The Barn can be drafty, so suggested dress is informal/warm.
