North Haven Realtor took leap of faith to become a top Realtor

-

Linda Acevedo first got her real estate license in 2000 when she and her husband were interested in purchasing investment properties. It didn’t take long before her own real estate business took off and she made a complete career change.

“Within six months, I was so busy I quit my job with the state, gave up my pension and benefits so I could pursue real estate full-time,” she said.

Prior to entering the industry, Acevedo worked in the legal field for many years with her last position as a legal administrative assistant to 42 state judges.

Acevedo puts her customers at the center of her business philosophy. She is extremely customer service oriented and takes great pride in the fact that she has more than 100 five-star reviews on various websites including Zillow and Berkshire Hathaway New England Properties. She commends Berkshire Hathaway for the importance of customer service they stress throughout the company.

“I am such a good fit with my company because I share their passion for providing the best customer service and Berkshire Hathaway has the best tools, technology and training for us to effectively service our clients,” she said.

Acevedo uses professional photography along with all the latest technology to market her listings, including social media advertising. She is ranked in the top 2 percent nationally within the company. She attributes that success to her commitment to educating her clients.

“An educated client makes the best decisions. I spend hours going over every little detail with them and coach them through Company: Berkshire Hathaway New England Properties

Acevedo also stresses the importance of being a very compassionate person.

“Selling and buying a home is not always a joyous event,” she said. “Sometimes it is because of a death in the family, divorce or medical or financial problems. I try to be as compassionate as possible when dealing with these circumstances.”

The wife, mother and grandmother grew up and raised her family in this community, where she remains an active member. She has helped raise money for the East Haven Animal Shelter’s Pavilion and has worked on many fundraisers for The Sunshine Kids to benefit children with cancer.
