Stats: At State Open second in 100 butterfly (56.04) and third in 50 freestyle (23.86), at Class S won 100 butterfly (56.02, meet record) and second 50 freestyle (24.05).

Honors: Four-time All-NVL and four-time All-State selection.

Out of the pool: National Honor Society, Student Council member, Link Crew, Chess club.

Next up: Will swim at Seton Hall.

CLAIRE KEHLEY Lauralton Hall, Freshman

Stats: At State Open third in 500 freestyle (5:00.39) and at Class S won 500 freestyle (5:03.74) and won 200 freestyle (1:53.92).

Honors: All-SCC, All-State, short course YMCA Nationals qualifier.

Out of the pool: Honor roll, swims for Westport Weston Family YMCA Water Rat Swim team, member of the Spanish club and Stock Market club.

KAYLA MENDONCA Hand, Junior

Stats: At State Open third in 100 backstroke (57.25) and at Class M won 100 backstroke (58.02, meet record) and fourth in 200 individual medley (2:12.67). Undefeated in 100 backstroke in dual meet season.

Honors: Three-time AllSCC, three-time All-State, two-time Register All-Area.

Out of the pool: Connecticu­t Swim Scholar Athlete, USA Swim Scholastic AllAmerica­n, swims for SOCO Aquatic club, member of Hand High marching band.

NORAH ROME East Haven/Wilbur Cross, Freshman

Stats: At Class L the Sound School student was second in the 500 freestyle (5:04.70). At the SCC meet she won the 500 freestyle (5:05.86) and was second in the 200 freestyle (1:56.21). She holds school records for the 500 freestyle and 200 freestyle.

Honors: All-SCC, AllState, Connecticu­t Swimming High Point Distance award, USA Futures finalist.

Out of the pool: High honors, plays cello and guitar.

CAROLINE BEGG Lauralton Hall, Freshman

Stats: At Class S third in 200 freestyle (1:58.02) and fourth in 500 freestyle (5:19.29).

Honors: AllState.

Out of the pool: Honor roll, Lauralton Hall engineerin­g team, Milford Yacht Club sailing team, Swim Across the Sound participan­t.

NORA BERGSTROM Cheshire, Sophomore

Stats: At Class L fourth in 500 freestyle (5:08.80), fourth in 200 freestyle (1:55.41) and swam a leg of the 400 freestyle relay the Rams won in 3:31.70.

Honors: All-SCC, All-State, All-American considerat­ion for 400 freestyle relay.

Out of the pool: All-SCC Academic team, Best Buddies club, volunteers by fostering puppies, Creations for a Cause club.

ANGELA GAMBARDELL­A North Haven, Junior

Stats: At State Open second in 100 breaststro­ke (1:03.44) and third 200 individual medley (2:05.74, school record), at Class M won 100 backstroke (1:03.63) and won 200 individual medley (2:06.46). At SCC meet won 100 breaststro­ke (1:03.29, meet record, school record).

Honors: Three-time All-SCC and All-State selection and SCC D-I Swimmer of the Year.

Out of the pool: SCC Honor student, volunteer tutor at Ben Haven Home for Autistic Adults.

LOUISE KIM Shelton, Senior

Stats: At State Open fourth in 100 freestyle (52.68) and fifth in 50 freestyle (23.94, school record) and at Class LL won 100 freestyle (52.80) and second in 50 freestyle (24.11). Honors: All-State.

Out of the pool: SCC All-Scholastic team, National Honor Society, student council, French club, Valley United Way.

RUBY REDLICH Hand, Junior

Stats: At Class M second in 100 freestyle (53.84), fourth in 200 freestyle (1:57.87) and swam a leg of the team’s win in the 400 freestyle relay. Led Hand to Class M team title (588.5 points).

Honors: All-SCC,

All-State.

Out of the pool: High honor roll, member of the school marching band and Clay club.

JULIA STEVENS Cheshire, Junior

Stats: At State Open third in 200 freestyle (1:52.13) and sixth in 500 freestyle (5:03.15), at Class L won 200 freestyle (1:52.05) and won 500 freestyle (5:02.53), and helped lead Rams to Class L team title (829.5 points).

Honors: Three-time Register All-Area, AllSCC, All-State, AllAmerica considerat­ion.

Next up: Considerin­g Dartmouth and Harvard.

MADELINE BERGIN North Haven, Sophomore

Stats: At State Open fifth in 100 freestyle (52.75) and sixth in 50 freestyle (24.03), at Class M won 50 freestyle (24.27) and won 100 freestyle (52.74). Holds school records for 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle.

Honors: All-SCC, All-State, two-time Register All-Area.

Out of the pool: SCC All-Scholastic team, swims for Hamden Hall Aquatic Club, participat­es in Lion Heart Lap-a-thon that raises money for the study of breast cancer.

SIENNA BRETON Cheshire, Senior

Stats: At Class L third in diving with 437.35 points and won diving at SCC meet with 462.45 (conference record). Top local finisher in diving at State Open and finished 11th with 435.05 points.

Honors: All-SCC,

All-State.

Out of the pool: SCC All-Scholastic team, Link Crew, diving coach at The Farms Country Club.

Next up: Will attend Ohio University.

SAMANTHA GRENON Cheshire, Senior

Stats: At State Open fourth in 500 freestyle (5:00.96) and fifth in 200 individual medey (2:06.13), at Class L second in 500 freestyle (5:04.27) and second in 200 individual medley (2:06.63).

Honors: All-SCC,

All-State.

Out of the pool: SCC All-Scholastic team.

Next up: She will swim at Bryant University.

JORDAN MACDONALD Foran, Junior

Stats: At State Open sixth in 100 butterfly (57.54) and at Class M won 100 butterfly (57.57) and third in 100 freestyle (1:56.77). Holds school records in 200 freestyle (1:56.13) and 100 freestyle (54.29).

Honors: All-SCC, AllState, three-time Register All-Area.
