Michael Crocco, 72, of Hamden, died peacefully Feb. 13th at the Landing North Haven, after a long illness. He was the husband of the late Paula Grillo Crocco. Mike was born in Cusano Mutri, Italy March 10, 1948, son of the late Emilio & Anastasia Creta Crocco and resided in Hamden most of his life. He was a M.P. for the Army during Vietnam. Together with his brother Carmine they started C&M Crocco Heating & Cooling in 1981, retiring in 2018. He was a member of the Hamden Democratic Town Committee District 7 and Dunbar Hill Civic Associatio­n. Mike enjoyed being with people, good food, good friends, and good conversati­on. His son and grandchild­ren were his world. He never missed a chance to watch Mike wrestle, Lio play baseball, or Bella play basketball. He is survived by a son Michael E.(Kimberly)Crocco of North Haven, a brother Pasquale(Lucia)Crocco of Hamden, grandchild­ren; Emilio(Lio), Bella, and looking forward to the upcoming arrival of his 3rd, Gia. Uncle to Alvin (Jackie) & David (Christina) Crocco, great uncle to Matthew, Victoria, Nicholas and Ryan Crocco. Godfather to Matthew Cuomo. Also survived by a sister in law Nancy Crocco and many relatives here and in Italy. He was predecease­d by his brother Carmine. The family would like to thank all his dear friends who supported him throughout his illness especially John DeRosa, Rosario Valentino, Michele Mastropetr­e, Joseph Ciarleglio, his HomeAide and all the staff at the Landing. Delores Maria Reis George, 86, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2021, with her beloved grandsons, Thomas Hilton Beesley, Jr. and Tristan Roger Beesley by her side. She was predecease­d by her husband and the love of her life Manuel George, beloved son Paul Manuel George, her sisters Mary Reis Crespo and Rose Mendes, brother Joseph Reis, Sr., and nephew Michael Reis. Delores is survived by her loving daughter Janet Lee Savignac of New Haven; son-in-law Thomas Hilton Beesley, Sr. of Milford; her cherished grandchild­ren Thomas Hilton Beesley, Jr. and Tristan Roger Beesley (Jes Hope) of Milford; Dominique Maria (Andrew) George-Gregoire of Texas; brother and sister-in-law Dominick and Alzira Reis of West Haven, sister-in-law Gerrie Reis of Hamden; sister-in-law Rosemarie George Ayala of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; and numerous adoring nieces, nephews, and godchildre­n. The youngest daughter of the late Maria Simoes Reis and Dominick Reis, Sr., Delores was born on March 11, 1934, in New Haven. She was a graduate of West Haven High School Class of 1952. Delores worked for the Milford Board of Education for 26 years holding various administra­tive positions at West Main Street Elementary School, Jonathan Law High School as Secretary to the Principal, and Orange Avenue Elementary School. She retired in 1998. Delores loved her family; she carefully balanced work and her life at home. She was strong-willed and loyal to both family and friends. In addition to her two children, she raised her two grandsons, providing them with unconditio­nal love, unwavering support, patience and acceptance, and was always there to lend an empathetic ear in times of need. She was a positive influence to them in many ways; family historian, nurturer, mentor, role model, teacher, and caregiver, all of which helped shape her grandsons into the men they are today. Delores loved to travel; she traveled to Portugal, Spain, Brazil, and Canada. She also enjoyed cooking and spending time with her extended family and friends.

A Mass of Christian burial and celebratio­n of Delores’ life will be held at 11:00AM on February 26, 2021, in Our Lady of Victory Church, 300 Captain Thomas Blvd., West Haven. Interment will be private. Arrangemen­ts have been entrusted to West Haven Funeral Home at the Green.
