GRABARCZYK, ANNA (MIKOLAJCZYK)

-

Anna (Mikolajczyk) Grabarczyk peacefully fell asleep in death on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 in the arms of her husband and three daughters. Anna was married to Edward Grabarczyk for 62 blessed and very eventful years. Their children, Diana Williams (Scott), Mary Taft (Anthony) and Krysia Anatra were the most important part of Anna’s life, along with their four grandchildren Julianna (Williams) Spicer, Julian Williams, Allyson Anatra and Tanner Anatra. Anna was born in the Village of Rechytsa Belarus, a Slavic Republic included in the Soviet Union, which is now a part of Russia. As a holocaust survivor, Anna was working in forced labor under Nazi Germany and was able to tell vivid stories of what she endured as a young girl. Upon the end of World War II, and arriving in the United States, she worked very hard with her parents (Sergei and Helen Mikolajczyk), one brother (Alex) and six sisters (Nina, Natalia, Tatjana, Mary and Stephanie).

Anna became a runway model in New York City and in 1954 she met the love of her life, Edward Grabarczyk. Their union was very successful, memorable and beautiful. They left New York and moved to Connecticut. Together Anna and Edward were sunshine to their day and sparkling stars to their night. Anna could strike a pose at a snap and Edward moved and reconstructed the earth under her dazzling stilettos to her likes and wishes.

Anna was a wonderful daughter, loving sister, devoted wife, intensely loved and firm mother, grandmother and an affectionately loved aunt to her many nieces and nephews.

Anna was an extremely faithful Jehovah’s Witness and her loss is deeply felt by everyone.

Anna’s husband took the role of an attentively compassionate caregiver along with her daughters, sonsin-law and grandchildren also being deeply involved in her care as she began to battle dementia. The warm love Anna expressed was always from her heart and taking care of her was an experience of love that is imbedded in the hearts of her family.

Anna’s family would like to invite you to her service being held on the Zoom App on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 3:00 PM (EST-US and Canada) MEETING NUMBER: 898 0364 4181 PASSWORD: 662134
