ANDREW CAMARA GAMBARDELLA

-

With heavy hearts the Gambardella and Camara families regret to announce the passing of our beloved son Andrew Camara Gambardella, 29, on Wednesday, June 16th, 2021, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was born February 11th, 1992, in New Haven and was the son of Katherine Camara and Andrew S Gambardella. He graduated from Amity High School in 2010, where he played varsity ice hockey.

His infectious smile will be missed. His great loves in life were fishing, animals, nature, military history, his family, his precious cousins, and his fiancé Monica Santillanes. Andrew made a lasting impression on all those who knew him. Andrew is survived by his parents Katherine Camara (Anthony Natale) of Branford and Andrew S Gambardella of Unionville, his sisters Gabrielle Gambardella of Branford and Paige Gambardella of New Haven. He also leaves behind his paternal grandfather Andrew A Gambardella of New Haven and maternal grandmother Sonia M Camara of Boca Raton, FL. He is also survived by his fiancé Monica Santillanes of Albuquerque, NM along with many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Angela R Gambardella and his maternal grandfather Luis R Camara.

His strength was heroic. His absence is painful. His memory beautiful.
