Patricia D. Tinti

Patricia D. Tinti, age 83, peacefully entered into eternal rest on June 24, 2021, in the comfort of her daughter’s home with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Norman F. Tinti. Patricia was born in Derby on May 15, 1938, daughter of the late Marino and Lena Breda DeRosa. A lifelong resident of Ansonia, Patricia was employed as an Administrative Assistant for the former Savings Bank of Ansonia and the Miller Insurance Agency. She later went on to work for the S.H.W. Company in Torrington, until her retirement. Patricia was a devout, lifelong communicant of Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia where she was the co-founder of the Church’s prayer shawl ministry and its Bereavement Group. She was also a member of their Rosary Guild and devoted time each year to work at the Italian Festival. Along with volunteering at the Church, Patricia also volunteered her time for many years at the Father McGivney Cancer Center in New Haven. She leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Carol A. Tinti (Jeffrey Kowalski) and Darlene T. Haydu (Gary) all of Derby, grandsons, Jonathan Haydu (Hannah) of Branford and Colin Haydu of West Hartford and a brother in law, Gene Tinti of Derby, along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, M. Edward “Bud” DeRosa and a sister, Rose Battaglino. Visitation for family and friends will take place on Monday June 28, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the chapel of SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Tuesday, all are welcome to attend her funeral at 11:00 am (meeting directly) at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia for a Mass of Christian Burial.
