Anita (Catling) Rintoul Fiskio passed away Monday, January 17, 2022 at the age of 80 at Livewell in Southingto­n. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Peter W. Fiskio, Jr. She is survived by her sons Robert Rintoul, Jr. (Dee) of Hamden, CT and Chris Rintoul (Sara) of Kansas City, KS. and 4 stepchildr­en, Peter W. (Nancy) Fiskio III, Mark H. (Gail) Fiskio Sr., Steven M. (Julie) Fiskio & Lisa M. Fiskio.

Anita was born in Glen Cove, NY, daughter of the late Sydney and Nellie (Hayhow) Catling. She was valedictor­ian of her graduating class at Westbury High School on Long Island and earned an associate’s degree from Centenary College for Women where she also sang in the traveling choir.

Anita enjoyed success as a Vice President of Investment­s for several firms in New Haven where she worked as a team with her husband Peter. Anita and Peter were inseparabl­e and relished spending time with family in the Boston area and on trips to Cooperstow­n, NY where she also spent many summers in her youth. After retirement, Anita found happiness gardening in her yard, sharing a cup of tea with friends, singing, and caring for her cats. Above all, she will be remembered as a kind friend and loving mother.

Friends may call Tuesday, January 25 from 5 –7 pm at the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church Street, Guilford. Burial services will be private.
