Nancy Coppola was called to heaven to serve as an angel on January 28, 2022. She was born in New Haven, CT to the late Russell and Roberta Adams. At a young age she learned to be strong, independent and hard-working. She trained for her lifelong career in nursing at Saint Raphael’s Hospital School of Nursing. She began her career as an OR nurse until she married and chose to be a stay-at-home mom. She enjoyed hosting holidays, making many crafts for her kids, volunteering in school, summers at Sunset Beach, visiting with friends, and spoiling her children. She returned to nursing when Robin entered the first grade. She spent 37 years working at Branford Hills Health Care Center as the Assistant Director of Nursing. She made many lifelong friends at work and enjoyed many fun times with her co-workers Pat, Marybeth, Carmel, Julie, Bruce, and Steve. She was predeceased by her former spouse and friend, Frank J Coppola. She is survived by her three children - Frank Coppola, Jr. (Karin), Karyn Heller (Erik), Robin Coppola (Shaun). Her five grandchildren Brett, Mackenzie, Brendan, Ava, and Avery. Her sister and brother-in-law Carol and Peter Vitali. Her niece Michele Call (Kevin, Megan, Colin). She leaves behind numerous friends. Nicky Ornato, her longtime friend whom she adored, and her confidant and theater buddy, Bruce Kennett. Nancy loved going to NYC, traveling, the theater, shopping, silly Florida trips with her family, and being generous to everyone she encountered. Despite the decline in her health over the last few months, she was able to keep her strength, independence, intelligence and her hilarious and inappropriate sense of humor. Her family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the wonderful staff at Evergreen Woods, North Branford.
