James Frank, of Orange, entered into rest on Wednesday February 16, 2022 surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 97. He was the beloved husband of 70 years to the late Concetta (Tammaro) Frank. Mr. Frank was born in Lynn, Massachuse­tts on July 13, 1924 son of the late John and Madelyn Frank. James served his country faithfully in the United States Army during WWII where he was stationed in Kodiak, Alaska. He was a union plumber for Local 777 Plumbers and Steamfitte­rs Union for 39 years until his retirement in 1986. He was a parishione­r of Holy Infant Church in Orange and a member of the American Legion Post 127. James was a devout Boston Red Sox fan. It was his lifelong dream to see them play at Fenway Park and his wish was fulfilled when he received tickets for his birthday. James attended his very first Red Sox baseball game at the age of 90. He was also a follower of the UCONN Women’s Basketball team and loved watching them win many NCAA Championsh­ips. He had a love of gardening and took great pride in his homegrown vegetables. When James wasn’t tending to his tomatoes, he could be found in his garage with his son Jim making his fresh homemade wine. Mr. Frank is the loving father of James Frank (Annette) and Madelyn Baker. He is also survived by his four grandchild­ren Nicholas (Melinda) Frank and Gregory Frank, Kendall and Dylan Baker and his great-grandchild­ren Heath, Sierra, Owen and Oliver Frank. He was predecease­d by his brother Angelo Frank and his sister Mary Morrone.

His funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 830 Jones Hill Rd., West Haven Tuesday morning at 10:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Holy Infant Church in Orange at 11:00. Interment with military honors will follow at Mount Saint Peter’s Cemetery in Derby.
