Charles R. Brostrom

Jr, age 68, of Woodbridge, passed away on February 13, 2022. Born on January 6, 1954 in New Haven, son of the late Charles Sr, and Margaret Love Brostrom and grew up in Orange, CT.

Charlie was married for 47 years to childhood sweetheart Jill Pepe Brostrom. Together Charlie and Jill raised their family in Woodbridge.

Charlie is survived by his loving wife Jill, son Barry (Sharon) Brostom and daughter Michelle ( Jordan) Kline. He was predeceased by his beautiful daughter Nicole Shannon. He is also survived by his sisters Margaret (George Cooley) Brostrom and Mary (David) Bloom. He was predeceased by his sisters Katherine Borden, Roberta Angeletti, and his brother John Brostrom. Charlie was a loving and favorite uncle to many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his cherished mother-in-law Joan Carofano Pepe, and sisters-inlaw Joy Pepe, Christine Pepe Foster, and brother-in-law Steven (Davida) Pepe and is also predeceased by his father-in-law William Pepe.

His greatest joy was being Papa to his five grandchildren Olivia, Gabriella, Jason, Emma, and Corinne.

Charlie owned and operated C.B. Landscaping in Woodbridge until his retirement 12 years ago. He loved the outdoors, motorcycles, waterskiing, fishing, and gardening. Charlie was an avid music lover, always listening to or playing music on his guitar. He also enjoyed his weekly card games with his lifelong cherished friends.

Above all Charlie was a family man who loved Sunday family get-together’s, with Jill’s macaroni and meatballs with their children and grandchildren.

Charlie’s family would like to extend heartfelt thanks and gratitude to all of their close friends and family for all of their help and support over the last five months during Charlie’s brave battle to recover from complications following surgery.
