Linda Bombace McNeff, of New Haven, passed away on March 9, 2022, at Yale New Haven Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Thomas McNeff. Born in New Haven on April 9, 1944, daughter of the late Frank and Jennie Corraro Bombace. Devoted mother of Daniel (Loanie) McNeff of Seattle, WA and Thomas, Jr. (Jeanne) McNeff of Cromwell, Sister of Marianne (Louis) Apuzzo of New Haven, Gail Villani of Wallingfor­d, Frank (Janet) Bombace of North Branford, and the late Joan Bombace. She was the proud Nana of Thomas III, Cara, Caitlin, and Ryan McNeff.

Linda was an entreprene­ur and had many careers throughout her lifetime. For many years, she owned and operated a plant maintenanc­e business and was known as the “plant lady” or “Mrs. Bouquet” to her friends and loved ones. She later opened Cafe Espresso, a small coffee shop on State Street in New Haven, for many years, where her customers became her friends. Prior to this, she was active in city and state political campaigns.

Linda loved to travel and was fortunate to enjoy trips to Italy and other destinatio­ns with her husband, Tom, and her children and grandchild­ren. Her family brought her so much pride and happiness. She was an amazing wife, mother, nana, sister, aunt, and friend and she will be greatly missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday morning at 10:00 at St. Joseph’s Church, 129 Edwards Street in New Haven. Burial will follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. The Iovanne Funeral Home is in care of her arrangemen­ts.
