Joseph M. Zanchetti, age 75, unexpected­ly entered into eternal rest on April 3, 2022, at Griffin Hospital in Derby. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy Bryce Zanchetti for over 51 years. Joseph was born in Bridgeport on April 13, 1946, son of the late Americo and Gertrude Edmonds Zanchetti. A resident of Seymour, Joseph recently retired from MSC Industrial Supplies in Milford. A proud veteran, he honorably served in the United States Air Force during Vietnam. Joe loved vacationin­g with his wife and family in Aruba, Las Vegas, and Walt Disney World. Joe thoroughly enjoyed regular family gatherings and hosting holidays with family and friends. Joe was never far from a baseball/softball field, gymnasium for basketball or gymnastics cheering on his children and grandkids. He loved listening to Neil Diamond and watching the UCONN basketball games with his beloved wife Dorothy, Bosco and Callie by his side. In addition to his wife Dorothy, Joseph leaves to cherish his memory, a son, Joseph J. Zanchetti of Burlington, a daughter, Michele ( Joseph) DeCrescenz­o of Beacon Falls, a brother, Ronald (Lori) Zanchetti of Milford, sisters, Mary (Roger) Stratton of Seymour and Beverly Smith of Kentucky, sister-in-law Shirley LaMonica of Florida, grandchild­ren, Joseph J. Zanchetti

Jr. and Brianna Zanchetti of Burlington, Bryce, Tyler and Ayla DeCrescenz­o of Beacon Falls, along with several loving nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predecease­d by brothers-in-law, Terry Smith, and Salvatore LaMonica. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebratio­n of Joseph's life on Saturday, May 21, 2022, between the hours of 1 pm to 2:30 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. A private family prayer service officiated by Rev. Jeffrey Gubbiotti followed by U.S. Air Force military honors will take place.
