Elizabeth Poudrier “Liz,” 90, of Naugatuck, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 28, 2022. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph T. Poudrier “Tom.”

Liz was born on May 14, 1931, in Mainz, Germany to the late Konrad and Anna Maria (Kinglehoff­er) Geyer. A life that was shaped from growing up in war torn Germany, she was straightfo­rward and to-the-point but also deeply cherished her family and friends. She immigrated to Canada in 1950 where she and Tom wed. She was a resident of Naugatuck for more than 60 years, moving here from Montreal, Quebec.

Liz worked in the Naugatuck School system for over 25 years and managed the cafeterias at Hillside Junior High and Western Elementary Schools. She had a lifelong passion for crafts – especially sewing, quilting and knitting.

She is survived by her daughter, Annette Woodfield and husband Randy of Naugatuck; son Gary Poudrier and wife Marlene of Middletown; five grandchild­ren and one greatgrand­child, all of whom she absolutely adored: Jamie Woodfield of Lebanon, Kyra Poudrier and wife Jamie of Plantation, FL, Justin Woodfield of Waterbury,

Jon Woodfield and wife Chelsea and son Jasper of Malabar, FL and Bryan Poudrier and wife Madison of Middletown. In addition to her immediate family, Liz is survived by sister in-law Charlene Montavon of New London; cousin, Elvira Clemente of Monroe Twp, NJ; numerous nieces and nephews and longtime dear friends Olga and Anton Brand of Montreal.

A Celebratio­n of Life will be held at a later date at the convenienc­e of the family. The Cremation Society of CT has care of the arrangemen­ts.
