Jacqueline Lanzieri

August 22, 1962 - June 18, 2022

Jacqueline “Jackie” Lanzieri passed away on June 18, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Derby, CT on August 22, 1962, to Jack and Joan Lanzieri. Jackie attended Ansonia schools and worked for many years as a companion homemaker. She was a caring soul with a generous heart which was evident in the number of people who called her friend. Her door was always open to anyone who needed a meal, a place to stay, or just wanted to chat. Jackie enjoyed trips to the casino and spending quality time with her family and friends, especially sleepovers with her granddaughter Aviana. Jackie is survived by her partner Robert Kinnebrew; her mother Joan Lanzieri; daughter Nicole LanzieriVidro (Sadi); the light of her life, her beloved granddaughter Aviana Vidro; brother Mark (Patricia) Lanzieri; nephews Salvatore Lanzieri (Keir), and Joseph Lanzieri; nieces Alicia Lanzieri (Nina) and Kristin Smith- Wilson (Steven); Aunt Rosemarie Ellsworth ( Jack); cousin Jack Ellsworth; great-nephew Michael Lanzieri and William Collins; great-niece Kasey Collins; and many second and third cousins. Her extended family, Cheryl Smith (Denise), caretaker Donna Brown-McCarroll, special nieces Ty’jhana Lee and Z’haniah Johnson, William Spencer, who was like a son to her, and her many friends, too many to mention. She was predeceased by her father Jack Lanzieri; paternal grandparents Joseph and Dorothy Lanzieri; maternal grandparents Rocco and Rose Barbieri; and Uncles Michael Lanzieri and Louis Barbieri. As per her wishes, Jackie’s body has been donated to the Anatomical Gift Program at Quinnipiac University for medical education and research.
