Records & Milestones To Watch

-

Several of the NFL's biggest names could set league records or reach major milestones this season:

BILL BELICHICK (NE):

Needs 10 wins to join Don Shula (328) and George Halas (318) as the only coaches with 300 or more regular-season victories.

TOM BRADY (TB):

Could become the first 100,000yard passer in league history. With his 97,569 yards passing in the regular season and 13,049 in the playoffs, the 45-year-old Brady needs 2,431 to reach the milestone.

JUSTIN HERBERT (LAC):

Needs 30 TD passes to surpass Dan Marino (98) for the most in a player's first three seasons.

LAMAR JACKSON (BAL):

Has 10 games with 100 or more yards rushing and needs one more to break a tie with Michael Vick for most by a quarterback.

TRAVIS KELCE (KC): His 9,006 yards receiving leave him 994 shy of joining Tony Gonzalez, Jason Witten, Antonio Gates and Shannon Sharpe as the only tight ends with 10,000 or more.

CORDARRELLE PATTERSON (ATL):

Has returned eight kickoffs for touchdowns, tied with Leon Washington and Josh Cribbs for the most in NFL history.

AARON RODGERS (GB):

Could become the first player to win three straight AP NFL MVP awards and tie Peyton Manning for the most overall with five.

MATT RYAN (IND):

Could move into the top 5 in career yards passing. He's eighth with 59,735, but could pass Marino (61,361), Philip Rivers (63,440) and Ben Roethlisberger (64,088) with a big first season with the Colts.

MATTHEW STAFFORD (LAR):

Needs 5 yards passing in the season opener against Buffalo to tie Drew Brees for fewest games (183) to reach 50,000.

RUSSELL WILSON (DEN):

With wins over Seattle (Week 1) and the Los Angeles Chargers (Week 6 or 18), would join Brady, Manning and Brett Favre as the only QBs to beat all 32 NFL teams.
