Sarah J. Noyes

Sarah Jennings Bartram Noyes, age 62, of Orange, CT, lovingly called “Sally” by her beloved husband Jon T. Noyes, passed away on October 10, 2022. Sarah was born on December 7, 1959, to Maynard Cleveland Bartram Jr. and Jeannette Norton Bartram. Raised in Bloomfield, CT, Sarah graduated from Loomis Chaffee in 1977, and George Washington University in 1982, also studying at Lawrence University and the University of Madrid.

Sarah began her career in finance, and after raising her children, was a teacher for 10 years at the Orange Congregational Church Nursery School, where her children also attended preschool. Her volunteer work included serving on church boards and at her children’s school, and tax preparation for seniors. She cherished summers throughout her life at her family cottage on Seneca Lake. An avid gardener, she loved hikes and traveling with Jon and her family.

Sarah is survived by her husband, Jon; her children, Jacob Bartram Noyes and Abigail Jennings Noyes; sisters Carey Meltzer (Harland) and Amy Bartram; brother Peter and aunt Barbara Bartram; her mother-inlaw, Martha Noyes; sister-in law, Amy Sack (Brian), and brothers-in-law Peter and Brian Noyes; and her many nieces and nephews: Amory ( Jarra), Nathaniel, Emma, Bridget, Peter, Cristian, Jessica, Jillian, Jesse, and Ivy.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 22, at 1:00 PM at Orange Congregational Church. THE GREGORY F. DOYLE FUNERAL HOME, Milford, is entrusted with arrangements.
