Timothy “Tim” W. Palmeri, 64, of Cheshire, CT, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side, at Smilow Cancer Hospital on October 13, 2022. He was the loving husband of Karen (Madden) Palmeri for 18 years. Tim was born in Hartford, the son of the late Louis Palmeri and Theresa (Dausch) Palmeri. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Adam (Karyn) Palmeri of Wolcott and Austin Palmeri of Moab, Utah; seven siblings, Christine, Lou, Rick, Matthew, Mark, Peter & Patrick and was predecease­d by his brother, James. He also leaves his sister-in-law, Roberta (Ed) O’Brien, and a host of nieces, nephews, and many great friends.

Tim was Executive VicePresid­ent of the IUBAC Local 1 CT Bricklayer­s and Allied Craftworke­rs for more than 30 years, retiring in March 2020. In his earlier years working in the trade, Tim often pointed out, with pride, the countless buildings he worked on. Tim was a master of his craft and could build or repair most anything. He was also a member of the Pontelando­lfo Club in Waterbury. He enjoyed making and bottling wine, traveling with friends and family, and being outdoors. Tim will be deeply missed by the many lives he touched.

Tim’s family would like to thank the 7th-floor nurses and staff at Smilow New Haven for all their care and compassion.

Arrangemen­ts - Visitation will be held on Monday, October 17, 2022, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main Street. Please meet directly at church for a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at 10 a.m. at St. Bridget of Sweden Parish – St. Bridget Church, 175 Main Street, Cheshire. Burial will follow at St. Bridget Cemetery, Higgins Rd., Cheshire. In lieu of flowers, donations in Tim’s memory can be made to Closer to Free/Smilow Cancer Hospital, Office of Developmen­t, P.O. 1849, New Haven, CT 06508.
