Stephanie Marie Deschamps, age 43, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2022 in a tragic car accident. Stephanie was born on December 6, 1978 in New Haven, CT and was raised in East Haven, CT. She resided in Orlando, FL with her soulmate Mike Buonanducc­i for the past 13 years. Stephanie was the daughter of Lynn Capone Deschamps and the late Paul Ralph Deschamps. Along with Mike and her mother Lynn, Stephanie leaves behind her great-aunts Jane Ellen Capone Siena, Nancy Stumpf McGuyer; her aunt Georgette Morro (The Late Charles); her uncles James Keith Capone (Karen), Jonathan Peter Capone (Gina). Stephanie leaves first cousins Jimmy Keith Capone, Craig Michael Capone ( Jillian) and family, Marc Bradley Capone (Adrienne) and family, Gina Marie CaponeSned­den (Mark) and family, and Alexa Gabrielle Capone; her Godfather Vincent Siena Jr., and her best friend Lynette Pagan DeLucia. She was predecease­d by her grandparen­ts James and Nadyne Capone, Albert and Nadia Deschamps and her Godmother Regina Driend Ventura. Stephanie loved family; she leaves many many relatives from Evansville, Indiana, Connecticu­t, and Florida behind.

Stephanie graduated from East Haven High School and went on to graduate with a degree in Psychology from Central Connecticu­t State University. She was currently employed as a Human Services Counselor for the State of Florida. Stephanie had an extraordin­ary love for music which led her to become a DJ who played all over the state of Florida, gathering a large following of fans who knew her as “FunkBaby.” She was loved by so many people who shared that she was always the brightest light in the room. Stephanie had a passion for animals as well, especially her dogs Nacho and Peanut. In her earlier years Stephanie started as a dancer at Dale Dance Studio in East Haven, Connecticu­t for 13 years, and eventually became an instructor. Stephanie loved being around friends and family sharing memories and now we will keep her in ours.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday morning from 8:30–10 at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Church of St. Louis, Saint John the XXIII Parish, at 10:30am. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
