Ruthann Beckerman of Guilford, CT and Boca Raton, FL, died peacefully at her home on Thursday, Dec. 29th, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of David Beckerman; married and together for 51 years. Born in New Haven, CT on November 26,1935, she was the daughter of the late Helen and Joseph Frankel. Beloved mother of Jodi Pollack (Richard), Dale Felice (Robert), Lisa Martin, Brad Beckerman and Cari Kaplan (Keith). Cherished grandmothe­r of Michael Pollack, Jordan Pollack (Emily), Taylor Felice, Matthew Felice (Danielle), Todd, Daniel and Lauren Martin, Jakob, Sydney and Ellie Kaplan, Willis and Sage Beckerman. Treasured great-grandmothe­r of Scottie Felice and Billie Pollack.

Ruthann was a devoted wife and mother. There was nothing more important to her than family. After Connecticu­t College she went on to have many accomplish­ments over the years, including her cover story in Ms. Magazine as the Outstandin­g Salesperso­n at GTE Sylvania. From there she continued on with careers in the travel industry and was founder of The Lingerie Boutique.

Charity was always close to her heart. She was active in the community one event, The Jewish community center of greater New Haven and served on the board of Shubert Theatre. Ruthann was a proud lion of Judah member.

Ruthann and David experience­d many wonderful travel adventures. The Island of Nevis and Italy will always hold a Special place in their hearts.

She was always on the move. Pilates and walking were some of her favorite activities. Her true passion was cooking. Every family gathering was a showcase of her talents. When it came to entertaini­ng, she made it look effortless, creating a warm and welcoming environmen­t for all. Over the last several years Ruthann developed a true appreciati­on for the beauty and nature around her. She especially enjoyed watching the hummingbir­ds that would visit throughout the day.

She will be missed but her presence will always be felt.

Funeral Services will be held at Congregati­on Mishkan Israel, 785 Ridge Rd., Hamden, CT on MONDAY morning, Jan. 2nd at 11:00 a.m. with Internment Services to follow at the Mishkan Israel Cemetery, 60 Jewell St., New Haven. Memorial Contributi­ons may be sent to: The Jewish Foundation of Greater New Haven for the benefit of the Beckerman Endowment Fund for the Jewish Community Center or Hamden Hall Country Day School, 360 Amity Road, Woodbridge, CT 06525. Following services, a period of mourning will be observed at the family home in Guilford CT. Monday, January 2nd until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 3rd and Wednesday, January 4th, 1- 3:00 p.m. and 6:30-8:00 p.m. In addition, a period of mourning will be observed in Boca Raton, FL at the Akoya, 20155 Boca West Drive, Boca Raton, FL on Sunday 1/8/23 from 1-4 p.m. Funeral Arrangemen­ts in care of Robert E.
