Quinnipiac’s streak snapped by Cornell

Goalie Ian Shane finished with 21 saves as No. 12 Cornell beat No. 1 Quinnipiac 4-0 in men's hockey on Friday night to end the Bobcats' eight-game winning streak and 17-game unbeaten stretch.

The streaks were both the longest active stretches in the nation.

It was the first conference loss for Quinnipiac (18-2-3, 12-1-0 ECAC). Cornell improved to 11-6-1 (83-0 ECAC).

2 At New Haven, Matthew Coronato tallie the game winner for the Crimson (13-4-1, 11-2-0 ECAC) at the 4:40 mark of overtime.

Teddy Wooding and Ian Carpentier scored goals for Yale (3-11-4, 2-9-2).

Sacred Heart 2, Holy Cross 2 (SHU wins shootout 2-1): At Fairfield, Daniel Ebrahim tallied a goal in regulation and notched the gamewinner in the shootout for the Pioneers.

Julian Kislin also scored for Sacred Heart (11-9-2, 104-2 AHA).

Men’s basketball Sacred Heart 92, Fairleigh Dickinson 85:

At Teaneck, N.J. Joey Reilly's 29 points helped Sacred Heart defeat Fairleigh Dickinson on Friday night.

Reilly added three steals for the Pioneers (11-10, 4-2 Northeast Conference). Nico Galette scored 16 points while going 8 of 12 from the field, and added seven rebounds, seven assists, and three steals. Bryce Johnson shot 6 for 11, including 1 for 3 from beyond the arc to finish with 14 points, while adding 11 rebounds.

Fairfield 67, Canisius 58:

At Fairfield, Jake Wojcik had 18 points in Fairfield's victory over Canisius on Friday night.

Wojcik also added five rebounds for the Stags (810, 4-4 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference). Supreme Cook scored 15 points while shooting 6 of 11 from the field and 3 for 6 from the line, and added 12 rebounds. Allan JeanneRose recorded 15 points and shot 5 of 8 from the field and 5 for 6 from the line.

Women’s hockey 3, Brown

Quinnipiac

1: At Hamden, Lexie Adzija, Nina Steigauf and Shay Maloney all recorded firstperio­d goals to lift the Bobcats to an ECAC win.

Yale 3 Princeton 1: At Princeton, N.J., Vita Poniatovsk­aia, Claire Dalton and Anna Bargman tallied goals to held the Bulldogs to an ECAC win.

Pia Dukaric finished with 20 saves for Yale (181-1, 11-1-1 ECAC).
