Lou was born in New Haven on November 2,1956, son of the late Louis V. and Mary Assunto Savarese Sr. Lou loved watching his NY Giants and NY Mets, playing golf and spending time with the people he loved. While his daughters were growing up, he was the ultimate softball and dance dad, doing any and everything for his girls. He lit up every room he walked into. He leaves behind his daughters, Marissa (Roger) Pires and Monica (Dave) Jermine, all of North Haven. His five grandchildren, Gianna, RJ, Luca, Anthony and Ella, were his pride and joy. Sonin-law of Caterina Tarini of West Haven and the late Celso Tarini. He is also survived by many cousins who were like siblings. Lou was a 1974 graduate of Notre Dame High School in West Haven and the principles he learned guided his life. His love and dedication to baseball earned him captainship of the team his senior year. The school left him with friendships that are still in place 50 years later. Lou graduated from the University of South Florida in 1980, with a Bachelor of Arts in marketing. After graduating from college, Lou worked in his family’s restaurants, where he spent 15 years entertaining and engaging with customers and friends, always comfortable on center stage. The next chapter of his career began with SNET and ended with Frontier in 2018, 23 years later. His energetic and fun-loving personality will be missed by all who knew him.
