Ann Harrison Hadley of Branford, CT, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at her home, under the care of her children and Connecticut Hospice. She was the wife of the late Robert S. Hadley. Ann was born in Branford, CT, on November 6, 1931, to the late Pauline and Herbert Harrison of Branford. She was predeceased by 2 sisters, Jeanette Townsend and Barbara (Bobbie) Callachan. Ann graduated from both Branford High School and Colby Sawyer Junior College in New Hampshire. In the early years of marriage, she was a mother and homemaker, was an accomplished pianist and later learned to play the organ and enjoyed playing for weddings and funerals at the First Congregational Church in Branford. She was an active member of the Congregational Church, where she served for many years and worked as secretary to the minister of the Trinity Episcopal Church in Branford. She loved spending time with family and her many wonderful friends, playing the piano and organ, tennis, bridge, gardening, sailing, and golf. She loved to travel and was very fortunate to have the opportunity to go on many incredible trips, and she fully enjoyed living half the year in Naples, Florida, with her husband. She is survived by her 3 children, Alison (William) Brierley of Branford, Robert (Natalie) Hadley of Bristol, and Scott (Ann) Hadley of Glastonbury. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Service on Saturday, March 23, at 11 a.m. at the First Congregational Church of Branford. All are welcome to join us for lunch in the church after the service. There are no calling hours.
