Heat wave killed elderly man: city

AN 81-year-old Queens man died from heat exposure during the blistering heat wave in New York last week.

The city medical examiner’s office said the man died when mercury readings soared into the high 90s.

His death was certified as “hyperthermia due to environmental exposure,” and he had underlying medical conditions, officials said.
