Let us reopen, nightspot says in suit

- Barbara Ross

OWNERS OF THE troubled SoHo club that cops shuttered after a bottle-throwing brawl involving singers Chris Brown and Drake have sued the city to let it reopen. The owners of Greenhouse and its sister venue W.i.P. said in court papers released Monday in Manhattan Supreme Court that the city violated a March 2011 stipulation requiring it to follow a certain protocol if it wanted to close the popular nightspots.

The club, which houses both Greenhouse and W.i.P., was shuttered June 16 after numerous code violations. The closure order came 48 hours after the brawl between Brown’s and Drake’s entourages.

The club owners said in court papers that they are losing $234,000 each week the venues remain closed.
