JOAN RIVERS

-

brought class and a reasonable facsimile of Mayor Bloomberg to her niece Caroline Waxler’s big wedding weekend. The independent digital marketing strategist, 41, married lawyer Michael Alan Levitt at Temple Emanu-el on Fifth Ave. Sunday, and the comedian played a key role in the proceedings.

In November, we reported that Rivers helped Waxler select her Lazaro wedding dress from Kleinfeld Bridal. Well, her mitzvah didn’t end there. On Saturday, she hosted the couple’s rehearsal dinner at ‘21’ in midtown, where guests included a life-size cutout of the mayor. Then at the wedding, Rivers read Elizabeth Barrett Browning’s “How Do I Love Thee” for the 350 guests, who included “Colbert Report” writer Meredith Scardino, Sabina Forbes, bridesmaid Melissa Rivers and NYC Chief Digital Officer Rachel Sterne. Following the ceremony, the media-heavy crowd partied at the Pierre Hotel. We’re told the couple will honeymoon in Turkey.
