Spiders alive and well
Come watch on Wednesday as Spider-man himself — with the aid of onscreen alter ego Andrew Garfield — hand-delivers the first spider to the American Museum of Natural History’s upcoming
exhibit, “Spiders Alive!” There will be giveaways, games and more. 10 a.m.noon. For more info, go to amnh.org or call (212) 769-5606 (Central Park W. at 79th St.).
See the spider of the sea
Head to the Brooklyn museum Wednesday to explore animals up close, including a meet-and-greet with the spider’s ancient ancestor, the horseshoe crab (sounds like a Spidey villain, but he’s really a friendly anthropod). There will be Spider-Man prizes for all ages. 1:30-2 p.m. For more info, go to brooklynkids.org (45 Brooklyn Ave.).
