Job candidates delivered — right to email inboxes

-

HIRING THE RIGHT person for the job has become almost as easy as shopping for a daily deal.

Companies and recruiters looking to fill openings can now search for candidates like they were shopping online.

Employment website GetHired.com on Thursday launched its Job Seeker Spotlight, which helps bring employers and job-hunters together using the dealper-day business model used by such sites as Groupon and LivingSocial.

Looking for someone to fill, say, that business tech position? Companies and recruiters who sign up for the free program receive a daily email highlighting up to five worthy candidates in a specific field and location.

“Our focus was to create an innovative way for talented job-seekers to get discovered and find their dream careers, and to simultaneously let employers reduce the cost of hiring and finding the best talent for their open positions,” Suki Shah, GetHired’s CEO, told the Daily News.

The emails contain the résumés and video profiles of job-seekers selected by the GetHired staff, based on qualifications and where they live or wish to work.

Shah said the Job Seeker Spotlight, which kicked off in the New York market, will eventually roll out nationwide.

“The goal is to be major facilitators for hires that are made every day,” Shah said. Robert Dominguez
